Terms and Conditions

All purchases from the Vaisala Online Store shall be governed by these Terms and Conditions and the applicable General Conditions of Sale and General Conditions of Service of Vaisala (collectively “General Conditions”), as defined below. In case of any discrepancy between these Terms and Conditions and the General Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

The definitions used in these Vaisala Online Store Terms and Conditions of Sale shall have the similar meaning as in the General Conditions, except the words "Product" and “Service”, which in these Online Store Terms and Conditions shall refer specifically to the products (hereinafter "Product(s)") and services (hereinafter "Service(s)") sold via the Online Store.

Vaisala reserves the right at its sole discretion to amend, modify or alter these Terms and Conditions and the General Conditions at any time without prior notice.

Payment

We offer the following payment methods:

  • International credit cards: Visa, MasterCard
  • Pre-payment with a bank transfer
  • Invoice (30 days NET), available for Customers in Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States.

By choosing pre-payment with a bank transfer method for paying your purchases, we will immediately send you a proforma invoice including our banking details to the e-mail address you have provided in your order. Please note that we will process your order only after your payment has been received by Vaisala.

Vaisala reserves the right to make a credit check for invoice customers, and this may slow down order processing.

Taxes and Prices

All Online Store prices are net prices, exclusive of any value added or sales taxes (VAT 0%).

If applicable, any and all taxes will be added during the purchasing process and shall be borne by the Customer. The Customer shall be liable for providing Vaisala full and correct details of its identity. The Customer acknowledges and accepts that any incorrect details of the Customer's identity that cause Vaisala a responsibility to pay VAT, shall be added to the value of the Customer's order.

Delivery

Delivery fees and terms depend on the Customer's country and are applied as follows.

Orders over EUR 100 of value shall include free shipping. For orders below EUR 100 of value, Vaisala shall add a delivery and handling fee of EUR 30. For the avoidance of doubt, this delivery and handling fee or any applicable taxes shall not be taken into account when determining whether the order is over EUR 100 of value.

For all service orders, excluding returns for warranty evaluation, a delivery and handling fee of EUR 20 is applied. This fee covers 2-way transportation for the instruments being serviced, using carrier of Vaisala's choice.

DAP = Delivered at place, duties unpaid - the Customer is responsible for carrying out the import procedures and any related payments.

DAT = Delivered at terminal, duties unpaid - the Customer is responsible for carrying out the import procedures and any related payments.

Vaisala reserves the right to choose the carrier. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an e-mail notification with a tracking code.

Delivery Time

Products shall be manufactured upon order and delivery will take place as soon as the ordered Products are ready for shipment. A typical delivery time for a single unit is shown on the Product details. The actual delivery time varies based on the amount of units ordered. The actual delivery time will be confirmed on a separate order acknowledgement to the e-mail address provided in the order.

If you require a specific delivery time, please contact your local sales engineers.

Warranty

All Products are protected by a 12 months warranty as the standard minimum. Selected products are being covered for up to 24 months. Services are covered by a 6 months service warranty.

Warranty terms are included in the applicable General Conditions (see table above).

For any inquiries regarding warranty claims, please contact the Vaisala technical support.

Returns

Only defective Products subject to the warranty terms can be returned for service or if the cause for the return is a direct result of a Vaisala error i.e. Products not matching Customer's order. Generally, the purchased Products cannot be returned nor shall Vaisala have any responsibility to repurchase the Products or refund the Customer for returned Products.

In the case of defective or wrong Products delivered by Vaisala, please contact Vaisala technical support to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Vaisala does not accept returns without the RMA.
